Urologic Health has secured $11 million in seed funding to support development of its niu™ System, a non-invasive platform designed to monitor bladder function without catheterization. The round was led by an undisclosed strategic investor and included participation from Edge Medical Ventures, SHD Partners, and Longevity Venture Partners.

The company said the funding will be used to support FDA 510(k) clearance activities and preparations for an initial US commercial launch. Urologic Health also plans to establish its headquarters in Jersey City.

The niu™ System is being developed as an alternative to conventional urodynamic testing, which typically relies on catheter-based procedures to assess bladder function. The company said its platform is intended to reduce patient discomfort while enabling longitudinal monitoring for conditions such as overactive bladder, urinary retention, and urinary incontinence.

According to Urologic Health, early feasibility studies showed the system could capture clinically relevant bladder activity using non-invasive monitoring methods. The platform also incorporates AI-based analytics designed to convert bladder activity data into diagnostic insights for clinicians.

The company was co-founded by Adam Yaacov and Dr. Noam Omer and was incubated through MEDX Xelerator, now operating as EdgeLabs. Urologic Health said its model combines engineering operations in Israel with US-based commercial and regulatory support.
