TIES, a new men’s fertility and performance brand, has launched with $1.5 million in seed funding led by HumanCo, the health and wellness holding company founded by Jason H. Karp. Karp will also join the company’s board. The launch includes Foundations, a daily supplement focused on male fertility and overall health.
The company was founded by Luke and Camryn Novak following their own experience with family planning, where they identified a lack of products and guidance aimed at men. TIES is built around the premise that men contribute to around 50% of all infertility cases, yet remain underrepresented in preconception care.
Foundations was developed with input from five physicians and specialists in reproductive medicine, integrative health and preconception nutrition. The formulation includes ingredients such as Vitamin C, CoQ10, Vitamin B12, L-Carnitine, zinc, selenium and folate, targeting sperm health, hormone function and oxidative stress. The product is manufactured in an FDA-registered, cGMP-compliant facility and undergoes third-party testing.
The launch also aligns with broader concerns around declining male fertility. A review published in Human Reproduction Update found that global sperm concentration declined by approximately 50% between 1973 and 2018, with total sperm count falling by over 60% over the same period. The rate of decline has also accelerated in recent decades, underscoring increasing focus on male reproductive health.
