Lucis Raises $20M Series A to Expand Preventive Health Platform Across Europe

European preventive health platform Lucis has raised a $20 million Series A round led by Singular, with participation from General Catalyst, Y Combinator, and a group of angel investors. The funding comes just four months after the company announced an $8 million seed round, bringing total funding to $28 million. Lucis plans to use the new capital to expand across Europe and further develop its AI-powered health platform.
Founded in 2025 by Maxime Berthelot and Baptiste Debever, Lucis combines blood biomarker testing with an AI-driven health companion app. The platform analyzes more than 110 biomarkers across areas including metabolic health, hormone health, cardiovascular risk, inflammation, and nutrition. Users receive personalized recommendations covering lifestyle changes, supplementation, nutrition, and follow-up testing, with clinical oversight provided by physicians.
The company says it has grown to more than 10,000 users across France, the UK, Ireland, and Portugal and has processed more than one million biomarker tests. According to Lucis, 75% of users completing a six-month follow-up improved at least three biomarkers without medication, while more than 80% chose to retest. The company also reports that nearly all users identified at least one biomarker outside optimal ranges during their initial assessment.
Lucis has established laboratory partnerships with Eurofins and Randox and plans to expand into Spain, Germany, and Italy by the end of 2026. The company joins a growing group of startups using biomarker testing, AI, and longitudinal health data to build preventive healthcare models focused on earlier intervention and personalized health management.
