JAAQ has raised $17 million (£12.8 million) in a funding round led by Meridian Health Ventures, with participation from Fuel Ventures, Bolt Angels, and Guinness Ventures. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate its US market entry and further develop its AI-based mental health content platform.

The London-based company focuses on improving access to mental health support by delivering clinically governed, interactive video content powered by artificial intelligence. Unlike traditional teletherapy models that depend on clinician availability, JAAQ’s platform provides on-demand support that can be integrated into employer and insurer systems.

JAAQ reports that its platform currently reaches over 1.5 million users, offering access to more than 10,000 expert-led videos across 70 mental health topics. The company positions this model as a scalable alternative to conventional care, aiming to reduce wait times and expand access without increasing clinical workload.

The funding will also support the expansion of strategic partnerships and the continued development of JAAQ’s “Smart Content” approach, which focuses on improving engagement and delivering mental health support at scale.
